🌱 Bourbon is one of the most iconic and cherished coffee varieties in the world, known for its complex, smooth, and perfectly balanced flavor profile. Its origin traces back to the Island of Réunion, in the Indian Ocean, where it was first cultivated in the 18th century. However, it wasn’t until the 19th century that it arrived in Guatemala, where it adapted spectacularly to the high-altitude climate and volcanic soils, particularly in the Cobán region.
This coffee is a tribute to tradition and excellence, cultivated by generations of farmers in this region who, through their dedication and knowledge, have preserved its unique character. Despite the rise of more productive varieties, Bourbon remains a treasure that only a few farms preserve today, ensuring an authentic experience for true coffee lovers.
☕️ Upon opening the package, you’ll be greeted by a deep aroma of toasted nuts, dark chocolate, and caramelized sugar, notes that evoke the warmth of traditionally crafted coffee. Each sip reveals a silky cup with a delicate body and a sweet finish, transporting you to the old coffee shops of the past, where coffee was enjoyed as an art form.
📜 Bourbon was introduced to Guatemala in the 19th century, where it found the perfect home in the highlands of Cobán, where the cool climate and constant rainfall helped bring out its complexity and balance. This variety has endured through the centuries, preserving the qualities of its origin while adapting to Guatemala’s unique conditions. Today, it remains one of the most cherished varieties among coffee connoisseurs, ensuring a rich and immersive experience in every cup.
